Portuguese Culture Festival in Berlin

In 2022 and 2023 I had the idea of organizing a big cultural event for promotion of Portuguese culture in Berlin, and invited 4 friends to help me out. We would hardly imagine that 3000 people would join us in celebrating Portuguese culture.

13:00 – Opening with presentation of gastronomic stands
14:00 – Bombos: Portuguese percussion workshop for all ages
14:30 – Dan Perry and Merely Minds
15:00 – Theater play: Manuel, tribute to childhood (3-99 years) by Maria de Vasconcelos
16:15 – Portuguese Art Collective 1st Set
16:45 – Portuguese Artsong recital
17:15 – Speech of Portuguese Ambassador Francisco Ribeiro de Menezes on the occasion of the June 10th celeberations (day of Portugal, Camões and of the Portuguese Comunities)
17:30 – Grupo Folclórico Impulso de Berlim (dance and traditional folk music)
19:00 – Joana Carvalhas (Violin) (original music and improvisation)
19:30 – Portuguese Art Collective 2nd Set
20:15 – Guitarrada (instrumental fado)
21:00 – The Lost Frames
